I’m a software engineer by profession and by hobby, and am passionate about Linux, free software, and making the world a better place. I’m currently a Senior Software Engineer for GenAI Cloud Infrstructure Tools at Capital One.
Want to know more?My favorite programming language, and my weapon of choice for personal projects. Flexible, stable, and beautifully weird.
Used practically everywhere, I've used python for glue scripts, system automation, as well as web-app and service development.
At Capital One, I primarily write code in Go to enable us to use GCP APIs, and deeply admire its opinionatedness and clarity.
An old favorite, I got to write lots of C in my favorite courses in college, Systems Programming and Operating Systems. Some day, I'll ascend to my destiny and get into Kernel development.
A staple of virtually every job I've had, I feel as at home in a coud like AWS as I do on my own machine.
At Capital One, I'm working on internal microservices to allow our engineers to leverage the Google Cloud, giving me hands-on experience with core APIs.
At TriNetX, I wrote web services in Java to power a browser-based Real-World-Evidence analytics platform.
At TriNetX, I also got the chance to write several helper libraries in Kotlin, and was highly impressed by its brevity, type system, and JVM interop.
My preferred operating system at home and at work, I love tinkering with Linux. At home, I run Gentoo as my daily driver.
I'm experienced and confident in using the greatest VCS in the world, and am closely familiar with its intuitive branching model.
My favorite text editor; my .vimrc has grown and evolved over years of constant use.
In college, I wrote several school and personal projects in Rust, and found its memory safety features highly compelling. I would love for the chance to get back into it.
